About Us
SilverFire Studios is a small, family run company located in West Michigan. Although we're situated among large family farms, we're within easy driving distance of gorgeous Lake Michigan sunsets, rolling white sand dunes, and several major Michigan cities. Chicago is a mere 3 hours away, while a trip to Milwaukee is a quick boat trip.
Cristine claims the title of artist while her husband Max claims the role of technical advisor and tool guy. (He also plays the role of cheerleader, though he has so far refused to don a short skirt.) Max has a "real job", which is the main reason he doesn't get to be called an artist right now. His art is mainly reflected in his ongoing inventions and in the lively personalities of our daughters, Ella & Maddy.
We are currently offering a line of dichroic cabs and jewelry, along with dichroic beads. We maintain a selection of necklaces, cable wires, etc. so that our customers can quickly and easily begin wearing the piece. In addition to her glass work, Cristine is a certified instructor with both Art Clay™ and PMC™ (Precious Metal Clay). She maintains a steady schedule of teaching both in and out of the state. As a result of Cristine's teaching and experimentation, Max's expertise as designer/inventor has frequently been tapped for the creation of tools and equipment. We put all of our products through a trial by fire - literally. We occasionally offer these tools and equipment for sale.
